Triangle is one of the best places to go if you need mechanical or electromechanical parts or assemblies, specialized hand or power tools particular to the electronics industry, stepping or other motors, industrial motor controllers, even some test gear. This store, along with Lasermotion, would be of particular interest to those doing robotics projects of any kind.
Their customer service seems friendly enough, but some overpricing in the area of tools and microscopes has cost them a couple of notches in their grade during my latest visit. Their prices on what little test gear they have remain on the high side as well. However, I will temper that statement by saying that test gear is not their primary line. Triangle truly is, as one of this site's readers put it, 'The place where electronic fabs and factories go to die -- and rise from the ashes as something utterly different!'
One addition I'm pleased to note is a large bin-full of specialized connector crimping tools, and contact positioners for said tools. These can be very handy if you're working with mil-spec circular or D-sub connectors, and they'll definitely be a lot less expensive at Triangle than they would be at the retail level.
Once again: Triangle is definitely worth a look, but don't get too excited about test gear.
