CMI is where you want to go if you're putting together a DIY ISP, data center, or any other setup that requires older, but still useful, servers and parts. The stock runs the gamut from various generations of Compaq, IBM, and HP gear to oddball stuff like DEC VAXStations and even the odd VME chassis.

Chris is a great guy to deal with as well (Ken is pretty much retired, or about to be). The only kicker is that his volume runs more like a roller coaster than a river. In other words, like Boeing Surplus, I've been in there at times when the place is nearly stacked to the rafters with great stuff, and an equal number of times where you can hear your footsteps echo the minute you walk in.

Best bet: As mentioned above, call first. If they don't have what you're looking for right at that moment, it could literally drop in with their next batch.
