AllTech is owned by Dan Burtis, formerly of Kaiser Technologies (a former winner, three years running, of the Traveling Technoid's Award for best test gear deals). He's got his own place now, along with his partner, Jan. The new place has loads of potential, and the pricing is still very reasonable, but the variety (at least during my visit) was suffering.
HOWEVER -- They've barely got settled into their new building, and there were still multiple pallets of equipment that had yet to be unpacked, let alone gone through, filling up most of their warehouse space. The place certainly bears watching, and it should be most interesting to see what happens with the 2008 scrounge trip.
Buyers are encouraged to give a power-on test to whatever it is you're looking at picking up. When you do, please let Dan know about the results if he's not helping you directly at that moment. He likes to isolate equipment that has problems, and flag such accordingly.
The best advice I can give at this point is to allow them time to grow. I've gotten some marvelous deals from Dan in times past, and (like most surplus places) you never know what's going to turn up.
